Preparedness and response
Phase 3 objectives can be broken down into 2 areas:
Reinforcing skills and awareness in TDG for haulage firms, first responders and security services.
Improving prevention measures, preparedness and the ability to respond to TDG accidents.
To achieve these aims, the SecTrans-NAS project will develop operating security protocols for managing CBRN risk when in transit. These protocols and guidelines will be applicable to and relevant to different actors in each partner country including, but not exclusive to: ministries, civilian protection, security services, and other security and escort details and other actors in the transport chain.
Training will be offered to all those involved in the TDG chain with best practice shared among participants from all partner countries. This will be the first step towards creating a network of experts.
